DM Shopian chairs Valuation Committee meeting
SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 07: Chairman, District Valuation Committee District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today reviewed the land valuation proposed by Valuation Committees for annual notification rates for the year 2022 in the district.
The meeting reviewed the proposals formulated by various departments for revision of annual rates of land vis a vis residential, commercial, agriculture, horticulture , non-cultivable, cultivable — Irrigated and un-irrigated among other categories.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, R&B and Municipal committee Shopian made their presentations highlighting the methodology adopted, exercises conducted in the field and parameters taken into account for finalization of rates.  
District Magistrate directed the officers to display the final draft in public domain and take into account the feedback and suggestions from all stakeholders. He asked for comprehensive analysis of various parameters while arriving at valuation of land to be fixed which shall include master plan land use, type of land, average sale rates, proximity of public transport, and infrastructure development status among others.
The valuation committee is finalizing rates for the year 2022 as per the provisions laid down SRO 379 of Jammu and Kashmir Preparation and Revision of Market Value Guidelines Rules 2011 which mandates the District Valuation Board to fix the annual rates and valuation of immovable property.
Officers from various departments were also present in the meeting.
