Historic Sudh Mahadev Mela concludes
Over 90,000 devotees, visitors pay their obeisance to Lord Shiva
UDHAMPUR, JUNE 18: Over 90,000 devotees including men, women and children of all faith witnessed 3- day Historic Sudhmahadev Mela in Sub Division Chenani of district Udhampur which concluded with traditional fervour and gaiety here today.
During the Mela, the folk artist belonging to surrounding areas turned up in large numbers to sing folk songs of the areas highlighting various aspects of civilization with special reference to Lord Shiva on first two days.
Number of temporary sweet shops, toy shops and other eatable corners by the locals as well as outside vendors were the main attraction for the general public visiting the mela site.
Langers were also organised voluntarily by various organisations at the mela site. Dharmath trust has also made elaborated arrangements for comfortable pilgrimage in the temple premises.
Mela Officer, Tehsildar Chenani Ajay Kumar Saraf remained at the mela site during the three days to manage arrangements for the comfortable pilgrimage to the shrine.
For the successful culmination of the three-day festival, the district administration Udhampur had made elaborated arrangements of security, drinking water and power supply, medicare, traffic regulation, etc besides awareness stalls were also put up by many departments during the mela.
