DC Rajouri reviews progress of Special Summary Revision
RAJOURI, DECEMBER 06: Deputy Commissioner   Mohammad Aijaz Asad today reviewed the progress of special summary revision here at a meeting.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh, Additional deputy commissioner Nowshera Sachin Dev Singh, Deputy District Election Officer Amarjyoti Raina, District Panchayat officer Dr. Abdul Khabir, all the Tehsildars of the District, Election Naib Tehsildar and representatives of the political parties.
Various points were discussed pertaining to basic minimum facilities (BMFs) at polling stations, removal of duplicity in the electoral roll, purification of electoral images, special summary revision of photo electoral rolls, besides special summary revision.
The DC, while interacting with the officers concerned, asked them to submit the report of basic minimum facilities for polling stations within two days, so that necessary action could be initiated, accordingly. He exhorted upon the officers/officials involved in the process of special summary revision to focus on enrolment of new voters in the age group of 18-19 and to ensure hundred percent enrollment.
He informed that a special summary revision camp of photo electoral rolls for enrollment of left out voters shall be organized at every polling station, along with BLAs (booth level agents). He directed the officers for speedy inclusion, correction, and deletion of names in Electoral Rolls. He also had a detailed discussion with the concerned officers with regard to the functioning of ERO-NET.
He called upon the officers to work with dedication while executing the documentation works.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the representatives of various political parties to appoint their Booth level Agents and provide the list of same to his office at the earliest for the smooth conduct of the process of Special Summary Revision.
