DC Anantnag reviews Eid-ul-Azha arrangements
ANANTNAG, AUGUST 10:      Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today chaired a meeting to review arrangements being made for the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha here.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Anantnag, SE PDD, Exens of PHE and R&B, Deputy CMO, Chief Animal/Sheep Husbandry Officer Anantnag, ARTO, all Tehsildars, AD FCS&CA, representative of Fire & Emergency Services, Food Safety Officer, CEO, Executive Officers of Municipal Council, EOs of all Municipal Committees, DySP Traffic and other concerned officers.
Availability of essential commodities including rice, atta, sugar and LPG, transport arrangements, cleanliness of religious places, streets and Eidgahs, healthcare facilities, ambulance services, uninterrupted power, water supply, availability of fish, poultry birds and sacrificial animals were discussed threadbare during the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure the availability and distribution of essential commodities before Eid, establishment of medical aid camps near EidgahHanfiyaJanglatmandi, EidgahAhalhaddis, Ashajipora and other Eidgahs of the towns of Mattan, Ashmuqam, Kabamarg, Khiram Dargah, Doru, Verinag, Achabal, Hillar, Shangus, Pahalgam, Bijbehara.
The concerned Tehsildars were instructed to undertake market checking for which squads comprising the officials of Revenue, Legal Metrology, Food Safety and Police.
